Clarinet Lessons Course is Offered by Ware Academy of Music
DurationBeing a student of the clarinet is exciting as you develop your ability to produce a beautiful and rich low register tone and silky and balanced sound throughout the register, to achieving a smooth transition over “the break”, to a sweet ringing tone in the clarion register and beyond.
As clarinetists, we are fortunate to have a relatively large amount of repertoire available to us and as your skill improves, more and more of it becomes available to play, which is very exciting.
In school, perhaps you play – or aspire to play – in a band, but since the clarinet’s early days in the mid 1700’s, many composers have loved the instrument and as a result, since Mozart’s day, much great orchestral repertoire, solo repertoire with orchestra and with piano, and chamber music (small to medium sized ensembles) has been written for it. Great composer such as Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Weber, Copland, Debussy, Ravel, Tchaikovsky, Mahler, and many more have written much great music for the clarinet.

Welcome to Ware Academy of Music. I’m Lynn Ware, owner teacher of theory and classical guitar. Peter and I have been preparing students for theory and instrumental examinations for over 30 years.
Peter received his M.M. degree in composition from Yale University, under Toru Takemitsu and Kryztof Penderecki. I completed my M.M. degree in guitar performance at Kent State University. We are both National Gold Medal Teachers.
Private instruction will help them advance faster thanks to the one-on-one attention they usually don’t receive in a group band program. Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Brass lessons are available for ages 8 or 9 and up, including adults and seniors.
We work with students of all levels and ages; young beginners, accomplished senior students who are aiming to prepare for post-secondary auditions.
This program is offered to students wishing to improve their skills for the school band or simply for the individual who wants to try a reed instrument
The Coopérative des professeurs de musique offer group classes for the whole family. These courses are designed to learn music in a structured way and to allow exchanges between musicians. We believe music makes a lot more sense when shared.
Our private private instrument lessons are 30, 45 or 60 minutes per week (the duration is determined according to the level of the student)
