This qualification is designed to provide learners with the skills and knowledge to be able to appropriately coach and mentor other learners. This qualification covers the core skills, knowledge and understanding required to support other learners in a coaching and mentoring capacity. Learners must be occupationally competent in the vocational area in which they are providing coaching and mentoring.
The objective of the qualification is to support those seeking to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to coach and mentor people as part of their normal role. It’s also the ideal starting point for a career in coaching and mentoring.
This course is fully funded (free) for those aged 19 or over, who are living in the Liverpool City Region (Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral) and haven't already completed a Level 3 qualification. This includes anyone who is currently unemployed or working but looking to change careers or enhance an existing career with a Level 3 qualification.

The Coaching Professional Apprenticeship is designed for current or aspiring coaches who provide one-to-one coaching in a professional environment. This could be a full-time coaching role, but more likely will be individuals coaching alongside their day job.
Our qualifications are designed to allow learners to understand the role of a mentor and be aware of the skills needed to become an effective mentor. Entry to level 1, 2 and level 3.
Coaching Skills are often low on management’s list of priorities. This in itself lowers staff morale, as they struggle to complete tasks to acceptable standards due to a lack of training.
