Course Details

An examination of the linguistics of visual, non-verbal language codes. Students will be introduced to different sign language codes, with particular emphasis on ASL and Signed English, and their applications in educational and social settings.

The course will also provide students the opportunity to develop skills at a basic level in the receptive and expressive use of sign language.
