This short 8-week course will provide an overview of CAD software and its applications in engineering and will cover the fundamental concepts and techniques required to create basic 3D models.

The course will begin by introducing you to the basics of 3D CAD software (Autodesk Fusion 360), including an overview of the user interface and fundamental tools.

You will then be introduced to the concepts of 3D modelling, including 2D drawing, creating basic shapes, extrusions, and revolves. You will also learn how to manage files and organise models within the software.

From there, we will cover topics such as components and assemblies. You will learn how to create basic assemblies by combining multiple parts and how to manipulate and edit these assemblies.

By the end of the course, students will have a basic foundation in 3D Computer-Aided Design and be able to create basic models for various engineering applications.
