The following short video is from the Construction Industry Training Board NI and outlines the wide range of careers in the Built Environment.
This one year course is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in Construction but who have not met the entry requirements for a Level 2 course.
The course consists of theory and practical lessons including Introduction to the Construction Industry, Health & Safety, bricklaying, plumbing and joinery modules.
In addition the course will cover Essential Skills in Numeracy and Literacy (if required).

The intensive bricklaying course is aimed at you leaving with the skills to complete your own projects such as a BBQ, garden wall or garage.
Introduction to Plastering is a taster course Evening Class for complete beginners who want to learn the basics for small projects at home.
All construction site personnel require a Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Green Labourer Card. The Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment course is the first of 3 steps to achieving your CSCS Green Card.
This course provides the ideal introduction to the construction industry in partnership with Countryside Partnerships. From new homes to world famous football stadiums and everything in between, there are lots of career opportunities in the sector.
