The following short video is from the Construction Industry Training Board NI and outlines the wide range of careers in the Built Environment.
This one year course is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in Construction but who have not met the entry requirements for a Level 2 course.
The course consists of theory and practical lessons including Introduction to the Construction Industry, Health & Safety, bricklaying, plumbing and joinery modules.
In addition the course will cover Essential Skills in Numeracy and Literacy (if required).

This short 5 day intensive course is ideal for those of you who are looking to gain some basic introductory plastering skills. It is ideal for individuals who want to gain an insight into plastering, maybe with a view to progressing further and achieving qualifications.
This short introductory course is ideal for those of you who want to gain some basic bricklaying skills. Those who complete the course will be provided with an Able Skills certificate, assured by City & Guilds.
An ideal course if you have some good basic tiling skills already or have attended our introductory tiling course and would like an opportunity to learn a bit more, work with more complex materials and in more complex areas.
This short intensive course is ideal for those of you who want to gain some basic introductory Painting & Decorating skills. Those who complete the course will be provided with an Able Skills certificate, assured by City & Guilds.
