This one-year course is designed to provide you with a basic knowledge and understanding of Bricklaying and to help you to develop a range of related skills.
This course is ideal for anyone wanting to develop basic building skills. This is a practical class and students will be required to wear safety footwear and gloves when in the workshop.
The course covers carrying out safe working practices, information, quantities and communicating with others, building methods and construction technology, how to prepare background surfaces and plaster materials.
This course will allow to recognise and demonstrate your skills, knowledge and understanding so you can work as a Bricklayer within the construction industry
With this course, you will learn how to construct block, brick and cavity walling and will develop the hand skills needed to use a variety of tools. Your listening and problem solving skills will form a big part of this course as you'll work independently.
