As soon as you choose your child’s first Dancewise class, you are both loved – and we’re ready to guide you in choosing the perfect class for them. Tell us a little bit about them and we’ll be able to help you choose the class that best suits their personality and needs.
Depending on your child’s age, you can then tailor their experience to suit their development – with a stunning preschool program for 3 & 4 year olds, right through to our signature programs for kids, teens (and adults!).
We know that for busy families, convenience is key so next, you’ll choose the location that best suits you – Hythe, Southampton or Whiteley, Fareham (or online wherever you are in the world!)
Finally we’ll help you choose the dance style that will make your child’s heart happy that works for your family too – choose from Irish Dance, Street Dance, Tap Dance, Ballet, Contemporary, Acro and our acclaimed Boys Program.
Working through a range of fundamental elements of contemporary dance, you’ll work on alignment, strength and musicality. This class will concentrate on the development of technique and give you an opportunity to work on your individual choreographic skills. Aimed at dancers of all levels
Contemporary classes are offered by Timms School of Dance. Students are encouraged to develop at their own pace which helps to make them feel at ease and confident, learning a new skill whilst having lots of fun, and making lots of new friends.
Contemporary Dance is all about expressing emotion through organic movements and unrestricted lines.
This class will include a warmup, followed by a full Contemporary class (sometimes with a classical barre in the centre). There will be a focus on technique and moving past your extremities, incorporating floorwork and breath as well as a focus on the body moving and flowing in the space so you can
