We are fortunate to have a specialist Contemporary Dance teacher on our staff. Contemporary Dance is the preferred dance style for Key Stage 3 and 4 study and at Degree Level.
Contemporary is a highly creative and expressive style of dance. It’s about interpreting abstract thoughts, concepts and emotions into fluid dance movements.
Modern/Contemporary is combined as a subject with the IDTA. It is a stylish form of dance that incorporates energetic, dynamic and intricate movements, it often uses bold, dramatic body movements, including body isolations and contractions.
Exploring the freedom of movement, focusing on technique and performance. A safe space to enjoy the process of learning and express choreography in your own authentic way.
Our Senior contemporary class - is for ages 13 - 17 (as a general guideline) Some previous experience is required for this class.
