Creative Dance Academy is a dance academy specializing in Ballet, Modern/Jazz, Contemporary and Dance Studies (School subject Gr10 – 12).
“A style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet in order to strive to connect the mind and body through fluid dance movements”
The base of the class will be the Horton Technique, as well as Brigitte Reeve-Taylor’s Turns & Leaps training, combined with massage technique derived from the Lisa Howell flexibility programme.
Contemporary Dance Lessons are offered by DanceCraft Studio for all ages and abilities. In partner dancing for social occasions, we focus on natural movement, connection and balance, to give our students a confident, smooth look on the dance floor.
Modern Dance Lessons are offered by Red Robynne Studios for all ages and abilities. We welcome anyone who wants to have fun with dance, from beginners to advanced dancers.
The Slowdance we offer at competitions and dance exams incorporates the use of dance figures such as jete’s, penchee’s, foutte’s and pirouettes. It is a lovely form of expressive dance through feeling and emotion.
