Whilst JATA aims to equip current and future practitioners of the theatre arts with all the necessary skills required of the professional “triple threat” performer, all our students experience the outstanding benefits of training in the arts – enhanced self-esteem and confidence, improved social skills as well as strengthened problem-solving and generative thinking abilities.
All our instructors are accredited teachers and/or industry professionals with unsurpassable knowledge and experience. This provides students not only with a strong technique as well as up-to-date access to developing trends, but also affords them a solid network should they be in, or choose to enter, the entertainment industry.
CDA classes contain elements from Horton Technique and aim to develop versatile dancers. Classes are for teenagers and adults.
Contemporary Dance Lessons are offered by Sue Cook Dance Studio for all ages and skill level. Sue Cook and Sarah Shipley are internationally accredited dance instructors with over 30 years of teaching experience.
The base of the class will be the Horton Technique, as well as Brigitte Reeve-Taylor’s Turns & Leaps training, combined with massage technique derived from the Lisa Howell flexibility programme.
This form of dance is strongly influenced by ballet, contemporary and jazz. SABOD's Modern Dance Syllabus includes all of these styles as well as other complementary styles to give our dancers the opportunity to cover a broad spectrum of dance styles.
Contemporary Dance Classes are offered by Elite Ballet School for all ages and abilities. It is a unique school, the only one in the world that provides students with a chance to study the Elite Methodology.
