DurationLyrical and Contemporary dance classes is a combination of ballet and jazz techniques. This form of dance uses poetic expressive movement to interpret the music. The objective of this class is to provide the dancers with a chance to perform routines that are based on feelings and emotion while telling a story.

A grab bag of elements such as lyrical, ballet, martial arts, hip-hop, and everyday pedestrian movement then gets mixed in, creating a new style with a “contemporary” feel. Contemporary dance provokes, expresses, and reflects through movement the point of view of the dancer and/or choreographer...
This style of dance stresses versatility and improvisation, unlike the strict, structured nature of ballet.
Contemporary dance fuses jazz, ballet and modern techniques. This class also has a large focus on improvised movement and students exploring their own creative expression.
Contemporary classes are offered by Dance Adventure. We offer a variety of dance styles to all ages and abilities in a safe, positive and encouraging environment.
In this beginner class, you will be taught simple steps and technique that will build into full routines.
