In contemporary dance, we explore the natural energy and emotions of our bodies to produce dances which are often very personal. Our schools' style of contemporary dance is very lyrical, and typically we use well-loved songs and ballads that are really enjoyable to work with. It is a really good 'top to toe' workout for children. Typical of what you'll see in such programmes like; 'The Next Step'.
Elevations Leeds hosts over 40 classes for Children and Adults of all ages and levels. Based in North Leeds, West Yorkshire we pride in offering fun, professional and academic tuition for the 'hobby' student to those who have professional aspirations for a career in the arts.

We are fortunate to have a specialist Contemporary Dance teacher on our staff. Contemporary Dance is the preferred dance style for Key Stage 3 and 4 study and at Degree Level.
This is a general level class teaching contemporary techniques and exploring the creative side of dance and movement. Also Lyrical Contemporary for Intermediate and Advanced level dancers.
Contemporary (10 Year and up) classes are offered by Dancewise Studios. Dancewise will help you achieve your goals – whether you want to build confidence, improve your body shape, make friends with like-minded people or aim for the stars in one of our elite performance teams!
