As a cosmetologist, you will play a key role in making people feel and look their best, and with the proper training and education, you will be in demand at salons, spas, beauty clinics, and businesses in the beauty and wellness industry.

For those with an entrepreneurial spirit, you can start your own business or, start taking on clients right away at an established salon and spa in your area. You have plenty of options to choose from and lots of potential clients are looking for your talents. However, before you start taking on clients and growing your business, you need to take the first step and enroll in a cosmetology program.

Fortunately for aspiring cosmetologists, Genesis College offers in-depth training through their cosmetology programs at their campuses located in Nashville, Lebanon, Cookeville, TN, and Dalton, GA.

We began in 2002, when our family owners purchased a cosmetology school in Lebanon, Tennessee. The school had 15 students and one course.

Today, Genesis Career College has over 500 students enrolled in mostly small-town campuses across the southeast. And instead of one program, we offer nine, including entry careers in healthcare and beauty & wellness.

At GCC, our mission is to attract qualified students, instruct them with quality education and training and prepare them for career occupations in their respective fields. Almost all of our occupations require licensing by the state, and we prepare you – in a year or less – to be qualified and ready to take state exams. Plus, when possible, we enhance classroom and hands-on training with real-world experience and externships that help students become more desirable to potential employers and to excel.
