The California State Department of Barbering and Cosmetology has scheduled 1000 hours of extensive training sessions within which all phases of learning have to be covered as per section 7316 of the Barbering and Cosmetology Act.

It is followed by an evaluation conducted by the California State Department of Barbering and Cosmetology. All students are required to pass this examination to obtain the License of Cosmetology.

This License is mandatory to start your practice as a cosmetologist in the state of California.
