A list of authorized court transcriptionists will be available to the public, and all persons ordering transcripts of court proceedings must select a transcriptionist exclusively from this registry.
This exciting new career offers many opportunities including self-employment, the choice to earn income from home, the flexibility of choosing the amount of work you wish to accept and options to partner or work with other authorized persons.
Upon successful completion of the course (requiring a 98% pass on final exam), the student will have met the transcript qualification standards as set out by the Ministry of the Attorney General and will be eligible to become an authorized court transcriptionist in accordance with and pursuant to the Attorney General's Approval and Authorization made under Ontario Regulation 158/03.
Students will learn transcription procedures required to produce certified transcripts from all court jurisdictions according to ministry standards set by legislation, regulation, policy and practice directions.

This course will provide the students with hands on typing of different medical reports and will be trained on actual hospital audio files to transcribe the various medical reports.
This course will enhance the learning achieved in previous and prerequisite courses for medical transcription that students need to enter the field with confidence
