Dangerous Goods Training

Denotech Training offers a wide variety of dangerous goods training courses in South Africa. Our courses in Pretoria and Johannesburg are accredited by the South African Department of Labour.

Denotech Training is a registered training organisation. We offer public Dangerous Goods Training Courses and Dangerous Goods Refresher Courses in South Africa.

The public courses run free of charge to participants who wish to obtain their International Transport of Dangerous Goods (IDTG) certificate of competence or to those who require their annual Dangerous Goods refresher training course.

All our trainers are specialists in the transportation of Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials and have a minimum of a Post Graduate Diploma qualification in the field.

Training is conducted by a team of highly experienced trainers, educators and examiners using a range of innovative methods including multimedia presentations, interactive workshops, practical demonstrations and assessment of both written and practical competency skills .

Dangerous Goods Safety training is a mandatory Prerequisite for anyone who will be handling, transporting, or shipping goods that are classified as Dangerous Goods.

The “Dangerous Goods” regulations vary from country to country and transportation mode to transportation mode, but all countries have regulations governing the carriage of Dangerous Goods by road, rail, sea and air.

Dangerous Goods Training (DGT) is a Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) training completion certificate issued internationally by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). It confirms the successful completion of the Dangerous Goods Awareness (DGA) course and exam.

Dangerous Goods courses are designed to ensure security, health and safety procedures for handling, packing, storing, shipping and transporting hazardous materials.

The need for dangerous goods training has become more prevalent over the past few years due to the increased complexity of handling these dangerous goods.
