A range of tools are included in our defensive driving courses to up-skill participants, helping them to make the change from a passive driver to an active risk manager.
It all began when Sheila Burdett, discovered a new talent as a driving instructor and started up Eastern Suburbs Driving School. Not long after, Sheila's husband Paul joined her and later their daughter Sarah too (known to many now as Sarah McPhee).
In search of expert advice Sheila & Paul headed over to the United States to research driver training. They bought back with them a wealth of knowledge, resources.
And teaching methods. Eastern Suburbs Driving School eventually became The Amalgamated Auto Academy (AAA Driving School), and then Triple A Driving School.
Defensive Driving training is offered by Allan's Driving School for all skill level. Allan has considerable experience in encouraging people to achieve and strive to be the best they can be – all skills necessary in the Best Driving Instructor.
Whether attending to learn more about driving safety, for employment reasons or Police/Court/iwi panel directed, DDC has something for everyone and can be attended during any car licence stage.
The Safednz Drivers Course has a duration of one full day. During this day the participants will spend time in class and in vehicle driving (Vehicles to be supplied by Candidate / company).
Street Talk is an NZTA-approved course in advanced driving skills. Successfully completing a Street Talk course allows you to reduce your restricted licence period by 6 months for under 25, or three months if you are over 25 years of age.
The course combines theory and practical sessions. Students are assessed continuously during the course. This can be done in our vehicle or your own. Must hold appropriate driver’s licence for class of vehicle.
