This course is suitable for anyone whose work requires a basic understanding of the safe use of electricity (i.e. plant operatives, maintenance engineers, caretakers). Although not expected to carry out electrical duties, an understaning of how to work safely with electrical equipment is required.
This qualification is for those students that have completed and passed the City and Guilds Diploma Electrical installations (Buildings and Structures) (2365-02) and looking to becoming a Gold card holder under the JIB scheme.
Level 2 courses are assessed by a range of methods including online multiple-choice exams, practical assessments, and written assignments.
The NVQ is achieved via work/site based assessment and portfolio building and AM2. Full support and guidance from an Able Skills NVQ Assessor will be provided and readily available throughout. NVQ Level 3 is a requirement for those looking to achieve JIB Gold Card status.
