This course provides care staff with a basic understanding of the physiological mechanisms of the types of diabetes but focusses on the practical elements of caring for an individual living with Diabetes Mellitus.
The session covers technique for obtaining blood glucose measurements, monitoring requirements, dietary requirements and advice to help to care for and avoid diabetic complications.
