Digital Photography I course is offered by Visual Arts Centre. Our photography classes offer students technical knowledge, as well as opportunities to work with the expressive side of the medium.
Students also learn about historical and contemporary photo-based artists. The courses, taught by contemporary photographers, are small in size with no more than twelve students. Using their SLR cameras (students must provide their own cameras), students work with their teachers in our professional, bright art studios, all held within our historic building.
With our School of Art – Canada’s largest bilingual independent art school – and our McClure Gallery – an exciting exhibition venue – the VAC offers you a thriving community of artists, teachers and students. We’ve been part of Montreal’s artistic fabric since 1946. Our courses are open to anyone with a desire to learn. We teach all levels, all ages, all year round. Learn essential and intermediate digital and film photography to take your photography or creative practice to the next level.
Children learn to use high quality point-and-shoot and pro-cameras.
Learn lighting/camera techniques and food preparation specific to food photography. Use available light/single studio light source. Hints/tips to achieve commercial results.
You will learn crucial camera settings. Technical and artistic components of digital photography will be discussed, demonstrated, and practiced under the instruction of a pro photographer.
