The need for Tourism and Hospitality diplomas and above qualifications across Asia is becoming increasingly obvious as regional economies are showing sustained robust growth.
With this, the increasing liberalization of trade internationally is driving the need for professionals with advanced business skills and knowledge.
Currently, neither local nor regional educational providers have the capacity to meet this rising demand for Tourism and Hospitality qualifications, and ERCI aims, in part, to satisfy this demand by delivering quality diploma programmes focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, practical relevance and a passion for excellence.
Course Objectives
Develop the student’s ability in the development and production of business solutions to real life problems faced by organizations in the THM
Develop the student’s ability to multi-task, to minimise resources and maximise
Develop the ability to spot market trends and to be able to forecast trends and demands
Enable the student to realise the development of their ideas from concept to
Give the student a wider understanding of cultural and contextual issues in the field of THM.
Develop the student’s understanding of professional practice, the ability to manage time effectively and work independently or in a group.
Course Availability
Intakes: 4 times a year – Jannuary, April, July, October Duration: 6 Months study + 6 months industrial attachment English Requirements:
Minimum C6 in English Language at GCE ‘O’ Level OR
A minimum band of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent OR
Pass the English Entrance Test conducted Online/Offline by ERCI OR
Successful completion of ERCI Preparatory Course in English Language for Foreigners OR
Letter from College/University/School clearly stating the Medium of Instruction of the highest qualification to be English.
Minimum 3 GCE ‘O’ Level Credits (Grade C6 and above) OR
Equivalent of Year 10 or above from the respective home country of the applicants OR
Relevant Foundation Certificates from other recognised local/overseas polytechnics and or colleges.
All applications are subject to the Institute’s assessment of eligibility for entry into the programme.

Assessment Framework
Courses are assessed by a combination of coursework, practical assignments and examinations. Unless otherwise stated, all modules within the Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management programme are assessed based on the 3-3-4 framework: 30% Competency-Based Assessment, 30% on individual assignment(s) and/or class tests, 40% on group assignment(s) and/or class participation.
Graduation Requirements
Students must pass all prescribed modules in the Diploma programme with a minimum grade of P (Pass).

Students who successfully complete and pass the modules stipulated in the programme structure will be awarded the Diploma in Business Management (Hospitality and Tourism) from Kaplan Higher Education Academy, Singapore.
