Learn how to create an inclusive and healthy culture in the workplace, with the Diversity and Wellbeing unit. You will acquire interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving skills, which will help you lead diverse workplaces and cultivate a wellbeing-focused culture. You will develop your critical thinking on topics such as:

  • discrimination

  • racial injustice

  • gender disparity

  • disability and LGBTQIA+ exclusion

  • workplace stress

  • wellbeing issues.

By the end of this unit, you will be able to implement strategies and practices to enact tangible change in the modern workplace.

 

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  • Adapt concepts, theories, and practical implications of diversity, inclusion and wellbeing to modern workplaces;

  • Reflect on the moral, legal, economic and health imperatives of diversity, inclusion and wellbeing within the context of the fourth industrial revolution;

  • Evaluate a current organisation’s (real industry example) approach to diversity and wellbeing, and report on strategies and best practices to improve the diversity management and health culture of that organisation; and,

  • Exhibit confidence and professionalism in presenting findings of the selected case study in front of an industry panel.
