You’ll learn to how to draw objects based on simple shapes, and how to add shading and textures to make your drawings look real and three-dimensional. Most students notice striking improvement in their artwork as the class moves along.
We offer fun, affordable classes in the arts, in subjects including drawing, painting, cartooning, writing, filmmaking and other subjects. Our classes are about having fun and learning new skills, not about tests or grades.
In this class, we will focus on the how and why of landscape painting. Students will improve their composition skills, understand the importance of simplification of shapes and masses, learn about values, atmospheric perspective, create a center of interest, the use of edges, drawing and color.
Learn painting techniques while you enjoy a relaxing and creative activity together. No experience necessary and all skill levels are sure to have a great time!
Students will have fun discovering and exploring their artistic creativity while learning various drawing techniques. Exciting weekly art projects will introduce color theory, design principles, and the use of various artistic media.
For those with little to no experience, this class will cover essential drawing, including beginning pencil and charcoal, visualizing and perceiving and execution for a final drawing.
