The plain skirt version is a perfect project for beginners, as it’s simple to sew, with no fiddly darts, fastenings or set-in sleeves – yay! More experienced? Try the pocket skirt version and optional cuff tabs for a speedy, satisfying project.

Patchwork & Quilting classes are offered by New Forest Fabrics for all skill level. We have 6 sewing machines for hire.  If you wish to reserve one, please confirm when booking.  The charge is £5 per class.  You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine if you prefer.
This is an opportunity to for absolute beginners and those who lack confidence with a sewing machine to learn basic skills. Basic skills that can be used in most sewing projects.

Wet felting creates a background of wool. Dry Felting is the craft of using barbed needles to matt wool into pictures and creative shapes. Embellishing with stitch, making felted vessels and beads can all be covered in this whole day of colour and creation.
The course consists of 5 units, each of which takes you through all the great functions step by step, building your knowledge of the software and guiding you through every stage, building your confidence to try new things.Â
