From straight forward, back beat rock and roll (which is no where near as simple as it seems if you want to do it right!) to the most subtle nuances of world beats, and from full kits to hand percussion, DMI can get your chops trained in and shape for any musical goal!
When you factor in our workshops that facilitate all degrees of drum knowledge and practices in the music industry to our Master Classes and private and school recitals, DMI students will be best prepared for to apply their talents with any kind of performance group!
Originally a radio station in the 1970s, then becoming the Denver Music Institute in 1999, DMI has been a staple in Denver and surrounding areas for local musicians. Starting July of 2016, business partners, Alan Currens and Dana Wield took ownership of DMI with a vision in mind.

Our drum faculty teach various musical genres including rock, blues, funk, jazz, metal and more. Beginner students can start lessons with a drum pad and stick. Our drum lessons offer comprehensive training in sight-reading, rhythm, theory, musicianship, technique and ear training
