Tuned percussion (glockenspiel, xylophone), Untuned percussion (triangle, cymbals, drums) and sometimes even Body percussion provide a wide variety of sounds, rhythms and accents to musical performance.
By fostering a diversity of music programmes, we are able to encourage students to consider pathways that reflect their individuality and will provide them with a range of musical opportunities that could lead to a lifelong involvement in music.

The school provides Ministry of Education subsidised group music lessons for primary and intermediate age school students
Drums classes are offered by Crawshaw Music School. We are currently the largest provider of one on one lessons on the Kapiti Coast.
Out of School Music classes are intended to give all primary school children the opportunity to learn a musical instrument.
This class is geared towards those who have little or no prior drumming experience, but also accommodates intermediate players.
