Kingsway College is staying in tune with the rapidly changing needs of society in terms of education and training. Because of this we are offering the newly introduced FET updated qualification known as the NC(V) courses.
The National Certificate (Vocational) is aimed at students at NQF level 2 in Further Education and Training (FET) public and private colleges, as well as other institutions offering FET vocational programmes.
Heavy Current engineers are responsible for managing the effective supply and distribution of electricity. Heavy Current technicians act as a support structure to engineers and ensure that any faults with the equipment supplying the electricity.
Course offerings are subject to change. The College reserves the right to only offer courses that are justified by student numbers. The College reserves the right to move a programme/course offering to other campuses without prior notification.
To obtain a National Certificate: A total of 7 subjects: 3 Fundamental and 4 Vocational subjects
The programme progresses through three levels. Each N level takes place over one trimester. After each trimester, students are eligible for a National Certificate on that level. We recommend continuing through all three levels and doing N4, N5 and N6 in order to qualify for the National Diploma.
Electrical Technology focuses on the understanding and application of electrical and electronic principles. There are three main areas of specialization, namely: Electrical, Electronics and Digital Systems.
