DurationOn this course, learners can advance their understanding of the techniques and practices used within the Electrical and Building Service industries. Learners practise the installation of domestic (240V) and industrial (up to 10,000V) wiring and electrical components including circuit breakers, consumer units, lighting and power circuits, in accordance with industry standard regulations.

Our Study Programme includes opportunities for you to develop your English and Maths skills as required. You may be expected to complete either functional skills or GCSE qualifications as part of your course depending on your GCSE results.
This course includes the opportunity to take part in an industry placement in a sector relevant to your qualification and study programme. The placement will take place 1 or 2 days per week on the days when you are not in college studying. Industry placements are designed to give you the skills to start work at the end of your studies, progress into an apprenticeship, or to add to your UCAS statement.

This industry-recognised electrical installation qualification will provide you with the basic knowledge and craft skills. You will learn, develop and practise in a secure environment the installation of wiring systems together with the relevant theory of electrical installation.
The Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation will equip students with a deeper understanding of electrical science and how this applies to electrical installations and wiring systems.
