Join us for a one day workshop devoted to becoming creative and experimental with freehand machine embroidery, even if you are wary of the outcome! If you are confident with a machine you can increase your range of abilities by learning new techniques.
You will create your own design, framed in a display hoop. All materials are included in the workshop price. Our experienced tutor Helen will be able to provide lots of ideas, patterns and inspiration.
In this class you'll use some of the basic stitches you learnt in the beginners class and see how to enhance your work further, with the use of mixed media, such as paint, natural materials and 3D elements.
Hand Embroidery classes are offered by Fabrications for all skill level. At Fabrications we offer a comprehensive range of textile based classes to help you start or progress your creative journey. All our tutors are not only practicing makers with a wealth of hands on knowledge in their craft.
This workshop combines a range of skills and offers you the chance to make a book cushion or handbag (made from quilt blocks). You will learn to combine the skills of embroidery, applique and editing.
