To increase awareness of the impact of trauma on our nervous systems and emotions
To develop some basic tools for emotional regulation
Course objectives
By the end of the course, you will have had opportunities to:
Gain a basic understanding of how the nervous system works, and ways in which it can be impacted by trauma
Develop confidence in recognising the different nervous system states
Try out some practical tools for emotional regulation
Gain a basic understanding of how nervous systems interact with each other, and how ‘co-regulation’ works
