In this class, Arianna will prepare (and then students will eat!) empanadas and learn Spanish vocabulary associated with the dish. We will be using ingredients from the garden. Empanadas are a delicious South American dish made with various sweet or savory fillings, wrapped in a flour pastry, and fried. Think “dumpling,” but larger and Latin-style.
Founded in 2012, BELL Garden is a hybrid school and community garden located on the Bellevue Middle School Campus in Nashville, TN. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, BELL Garden is focused on building healthier and deeper connected communities through garden based service, education, volunteerism, and food distribution to those in need.
Our introductory course is taught through a combination of demonstrations and brief hands-on elements to provide the basics of baking sourdough bread at home.
Desserts From Europe Baking class is offered by The Asheville Kitchen. We hope you will bring your bubble of friends & families! Come have fun! In-person classes will be limited to 4 to 6 students. It is up to you to gather the 4-6 students you wish to take a class with.
