Course Details

This programme is suitable for those with a keen interest in theoretical and practical engineering disciplines and who wish to pursue a prosperous career as a specialist engineer in various industries including marine, maintenance, automotive or manufacturing. 

Following successful completion of the programme, students may progress onto Higher Education. Students may also gain employment within the engineering industry and there may be a possibility of continuing your studies at the College through an Apprenticeship or HNC.

The Level 3 Technical Extended Diploma in Engineering also offers students who meet the qualifying entry criteria an opportunity to take an additional qualification in Core Maths.(Quantitative Reasoning).

A career in Engineering could take you to a vast range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, food and drink, marine, medical, IT, construction, nuclear, or even space. There are opportunities to work as a mechanical, electrical or chemical engineer in most industries, where you could focus on the research and design elements or take a more hands-on approach with manufacturing and maintenance.

A career in Engineering could take you to a vast range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, food and drink, marine, medical, IT, construction, nuclear, or even space.

• Engineering and Environmental Health and Safety
• Mechanical Engineering Principles
• Engineering Communications 
• Engineering Mathematics 
• Computer Aided Drafting in Engineering
• Engineering Design Process
Plus a further unit to be determined.
