Learn English with Lingo. Lingo is situated minutes away from Bugis MRT specializing in English language and IELTS Preparatory instruction. Our well-structured English language classes are specifically designed for non-speakers or students with little knowledge of the English language.

Lingo specializes in training non-native speakers of English towards the path of proficiency. We understand that learning English is not an easy task but Lingo’s English classes are designed to make learning simple and we are determined to help you build a good foundation towards success in the English language.

We have designed our English classes specifically for non-native users and Lingo’s English courses are categorized into 2 programs:

General English Program

Designed for non-native speakers and made to be easy to learn, this program is designed for speakers with IELTS score of less than 4. As a good English speaker will need to have the 4 skills: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking, our students will learn how to manage those skills and be able to use them correctly.

IELTS Preparatory Programs

Lingo has designed IELTS programs to help prepare students for the IELTS (General and Academic) exams. Lingo’s IELTS Preparatory Classes is designed specifically to help non-native speakers of English achieve their desired grades in IELTS.

Over 2 million tests taken in the 2011 year and IELTS results are being used across the world by more than 9,000 government agencies, educational institutions, faculties and professional organisations in over 135 countries.

Approximately 375 million people speak English as their first language. An estimated 470 million to over a billion people speak English as their second language depending on how literacy or mastery is defined and measured.

English today is probably the third largest language by number of native speakers, after Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. However, when combining native and non-native speakers, it is probably the most commonly spoken language in the world.
