For students who have a good knowledge of basic jewellery making techniques wishing to develop their own ideas and improve their skills. Students should have attended jewellery making classes regularly for a year and feel confident to work independently.
Gemstones have been used in jewellery for thousands of years, creating a colourful contrast to the metal in which they are set.
Aimed at beginners, this course focuses on Jewellery Making using polymer clay which can be used to create colourful shaped beads and pendants.
We'll cover all the basics of silver smithing and an introduction to jewellers tools and techniques to allow you to create your own pieces of jewellery and metal work.
This one-day self-directed workshop will provide you with the opportunity to create a small project of your choice or refurbish an existing project item – all with the guidance and expertise of the tutor.
