As a professional bricklayer, you lay the foundations for all other trades to follow. It is a great job for staying fit and healthy and if you have an eye for detail and good work ethic you can be earning fantastic money anywhere in the world with our official City and Guilds qualification.

Many site managers have a bricklaying background so this is a great first step if you want to move into Higher Education later on. Brickwork is not just about sand and cement – it is about design and creativity – so come and express yourself at Bradford College.

At Level 1, you will learn how to construct walls and structures using blocks and bricks – how to measure and mark out for new buildings and how to repair damaged walls.

Builders in Bradford are always on the look out for apprentices and we are their number one choice when they need someone new to join their team. You can progress to Level 2 and Level 3 and learn more about stonemasonary, dry stone walling and heritage works – all of which are skills in high demand in West Yorkshire.
