Do you want to include more fish in your diet, but need inspiration? June will share with you her recipes, secrets and techniques for creating a great selection of versatile seafood dishes that you will find useful for a number of occasions. You will also learn how to fillet fish.
You will work with a partner and cook a wide variety of fish recipes. June will share her tips and tricks for producing beautiful fish-based dishes so you feel confident at making the recipes at home. Each evening you'll be able to enjoy tasting some of the dishes you've cooked or take leftovers home to eat later.
What to bring:
Each week please bring two containers to transport your meals home, as well as a tea towel. You may wish to bring your own chef's knife and apron. Your course fee includes an ingredients charge.
Selwyn Community Education is a community education centre based at Selwyn College, Kohimarama, Auckland. Each year we offer a wide range of more than 750 evening and weekend courses, plus some daytime English for Migrants courses.

During school term time, our office is open 9am - 9pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. On Thursdays and Fridays, we are open 9am - 3pm. Once a month we are open for a weekend programme of courses. During school holidays we are open for limited hours.

Guest chef Bevan Smith, founder of award winning restaurant Riverstone Kitchen and writer of several cookbooks, will run one day classes at The Akaroa Cooking School.
