Fashion & Apparel Atelier

The 2 days intensive fashion apparel course will enable learners to understand the basic knowledge of   fashion and also how to select the right apparel complementing the different body shapes with the right choice of fabrics.

Learners will have an insight of :

• Understand the apparel products and the different types Fashion apparel in retail.
• The basics of fashion and its evolution.  
• The types, range of apparel for women, men and kids offered in the market.
• Common types and characteristics of fibers used in apparels.
• The understanding of body shapes, measurements procedures in apparel for ladies.
• The characteristics of patterns, types/seasons, colors shapes, lines used in apparel.
• Selection of appropriate apparel and complimentary or peripheral products to meet body shape and personality requirements.
• Apparel-care on fashion apparels for ladies.

Learning Outcomes:

• Identify body shapes, suitability of patterns/fabrics for the different body shapes
• Understand the types, range and characteristics of fibres to recommend the apparel for the different personalities and body shapes
• Provide advice on the appropriate fashion apparel to complement the body shape
• Ability to apply the use of appropriate fashion apparel to complement the different body shapes to enhance professional image
