This is a fashion course especially for students who speak English as their second language and need to improve their level of English alongside learning fashion skills. On this course, you will learn how to sew using industrial machinery and industry methods.
Course content
On this course, you will learn how to sew using industrial machinery and industry methods.
You will learn through demonstration, practice samples and making several samples of techniques and methods and learn how to handle a wide range of fabrics moving towards garment making and accessories.
All of your work will be presented in a presentation of file of which along with your written information and notes on the techniques you have learnt.
This course has additional English lessons to support the development of the English language and learn specific terms and language related to the specialism.

Entry requirements
You do not need any prior experience but a commitment to study. Your English level should be a minimum of Entry Level 2.
Progression
You could progress to a Level 2 Fashion course or a Level 1 in Tailoring.

This workshop will teach you a range of basic sewing skills that are needed to complete and finish a range of projects including; dressmaking, soft furnishings, alterations etc. The skills learnt will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to enable you to take on.
This course uses the skills taught in the beginners class. you will learn to make a garment from a pattern, In order to attend, you’d need to be confident on the sewing machine, have completed a few basic sewing projects or taken either our beginners Sewing course.
Bodice Fitting classes are offered by Bamber Sew for beginners. As a family business we care about our customers and always try our best to offer an excellent service.
Come and learn to knit! This class is for absolute beginners (or anyone in need of a refresher) and we'll teach you all you need to know for this calming and creative craft.
Dressmaking classes are offered by Pin and Needles for all skill level. Our dress making classes are held every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evening.
