Course Overview

The Fire and Emergency Warden Duties course gives learners the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out an effective fire and emergency plan.

After completion of this course you will be able to demonstrate knowledge of evacuation requirements for your workplace; explain the duties of a Fire and Emergency Warden in accordance with the law; and select and implement a strategy to evacuate the workplace.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of evacuation requirements for own workplace/worksite.
  • Explain the duties of a Fire and Emergency Warden.
  • Explain the roles and responsibilities of a Fire and Emergency Warden in your workplace.
  • Identify and describe factors relating to a safe evacuation
  • Identify and describe resources required to carry out a safe evacuation
  • Explain the workplace requirements and procedures to pre-warn other parties.
