Fire Marshall Training

Our Fire Marshall course is suitable for those who have responsibility in the workplace to undertake fire safety requirements and will provide learners with the knowledge to carry out designated duties as a Fire Warden/Marshall. The qualification will also increase fire safety awareness for all employees.

Who Should Attend?

• Drivers and supervisors
• Employees who want to develop their basic Fire Safety awareness in order to assist their employer by undertaking more specific Fire Safety roles in the workplace to manage fire risk (e.g. as fire wardens/marshals/stewards etc.)

• The common causes of fire – Fire Triangle
• Understanding the hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace
• The behaviour of fire
• Fire preventionqn uk
• How fire risk is controlled in the workplace
• The principles and practice of fire safety management at work
• What to do if a fire breaks out
• How to use fire extinguishers
• Emergency evacuation procedures
• Legislation (brief)

Assessment Information

• The qualification is assessed by a written assessment containing 20 open and multiple choice questions
• To successfully pass the written assessment you must achieve a minimum of 15 out of 20
• Duration of assessment – 30 minutes
• Question example: ‘On discovering a fire what is the first thing you should do?’
