Course Details

As stated in the Food Hygiene Regulation 2009 issued by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM), all food handlers are required to attend the Food Handling Course.

 

Who Are Food Handlers?
Anyone who: Directly involved in food preparation Touching food or surfaces that touch food Handle packaged or unpackaged food (including truck drivers and forklifts)

So any food handler working in the following sectors is required to attend a Food Handling Course:

  • Food Factory or Food Storage Warehouse

  • Food Premises (School Canteen/ Office/ Factory, Kiosk, Stall, Restaurant, Catering and Night Market)

  • Hotels, Motels & Resorts

  • Child Care/ Nurturing/ Guidance Center

  • Cake Shop & Bakery

  • Feeder for the Offshore and Onshore Oil & Gas Sector

  • Supermarkets and Hypermarkets

  • Other Related Industries
