It is a legal requirement under Food Hygiene Regulations 2009 for all food handlers to be trained in food handler training course. Food handlers includes any person who is directly involved in food preparation, comes into contact with food or food contact surfaces; and handles packaged or unpackaged food, or appliances in any food premises.
