Our Food Hygiene & Safety Course - Level 1 has been designed to educate those who don’t work directly with preparing or handling food but work in an environment where food is handled elsewhere or who only work with low-risk foods. The course familiarises the learner with basic food hygiene practices so they are able to work safely near food.
This course is designed for workers who are not directly involved with the preparation or handling of high-risk foods but work in an environment where food is present or handled elsewhere. This also includes those who work with wrapped or pre-packaged foods.

The course will suit a diverse range of learners including adults, schools, community groups and businesses etc. who work in or intend to work in the catering industry including those involved in the storage, preparation, cooking and handling of food.
This qualification is designed for those working or preparing to work in food businesses where a food safety management system based on Codex Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles is implemented.
The Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering is a qualification aimed at caterers and other food handlers. The qualification is intended for learners already working in catering and those who are preparing to work in the industry.
This is a supported online learning course which is available 50 weeks of the year (including non-term times). You will need to be committed to complete approximately 6 hours of learning, which could be one whole day or split over a few days.
