Overview
The Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2 Award course will provide participants with the essential knowledge and skills required to ensure food safety and maintain high standards of hygiene in a food handling or catering environment.
This course is essential for individuals working in the food industry to meet legal requirements, protect public health, and maintain customer satisfaction.

Participants will also learn about the importance of personal hygiene, safe food handling practices, and effective cleaning and sanitation procedures.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. If you are working in an environment where food is prepared, cooked and handled, then this course is for you.
What Will I Study?
This course will cover:

How Will I Be Assessed?
Assessment consists of a 40-minute exam with 30 multiple choice questions.
Further Study
Many learners will also complete the Level 2 Awareness in Allergens. There is also progression opportunities to the Level 3 Supervision of Food Safety and Hygiene.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded the Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2 Award. This qualification is widely recognised and required by employers in the food industry.

Our Story

National Occupational Standards (NOS) for food safety in a catering environment developed by People 1st
The introduction to HACCP course for Food Safety covers understanding the legal requirements of food safety management systems.
The Level 1 Award in Food Safety in Catering is a qualification intended for learners working in the catering environment in low-risk roles but where there is an element of food handling. This could include bar workers, waiting staff, health care workers, kitchen porters and stock/store room staff.
Hygiene Safety Course is offered by Northcerh Certification Inspection and Training. Our Occupational Health & Safety Training teaches business professionals about how to ensure the health and safety of their employees.
Our HACCP Awareness course teaches you the different types of hazards in the food business, as well as the history of HACCP. Learners will come away from this 3-hour course with the understanding of how to apply a HACCP based food safety management system.
