This class and exam are fully accredited with the Illinois Department of Public Health, Chicago Department of Public Health, Prometric Testing Organization, and ServSafe from the National Restaurant Association (administered by request).
Upon successful completion of the class and test, students will be certified in the State of Illinois and will be able to apply for the City of Chicago certification. All certifications are valid for 5 years.

Florida requires all food service employees to be trained on proper food handling and hygiene practices every three years. (this is in addition to their assigned duties) . That all foodservice employees must receive their certification within 60 days of employment.
