Who we are
Bernard & Ya Holdings Limited trading as Tree House is a New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) registered and accredited Private Training Establishment, has a head office in Auckland, and training facilities in Auckland and Wellington.
We work predominantly with people interested in the hospitality, retail and security industries at foundation level, along with increasing the skill level of those currently working with customers in these sectors. Participants will learn the basic practices that result in safe food handling. They will be shown how to maintain effective personal hygiene when working with food as per their establishment requirements.
The aim of this micro credential is to develop food safety knowledge and skills in a restaurant. This qualification will provide New Zealand’s hospitality industry with the skilled, qualified workers they require in food safety and health and safety in the workplace.
The course has been designed to promote in food workers an awareness of the causes of food poisoning and what procedures are necessary to prevent it.
