This course covers all aspect of Footwear design and Brand Development
DurationThis course covers the design and development processes of footwear. This teaches the student the practical processes from conceptualisation to putting a product on the market, and is backed by our production facility to manufacture students footwear in Pretoria. This is geared at enabling students to establish their own brands without the financial burden of a manufacturing facility.
Entry Requirements:
The school does not require any entrance requirements and the ability to cope with the course is solely at the discretion of the student or if necessary their guardian.
As a guideline for this assessment the student needs to consider their abilities namely:
Good hand - eye coordination
Ability to do practical work with their hands
Ability to do basic mathematical calculations
Creative ability
Ability to work extremely neatly with attention to detail.
Practical mindset
Dedicated hard worker.
Although the school provides world class shoemaking training. The Footwear Design and Technology School is not a normal educational institution, but rather and incubator with the purpose of establishing local shoe brands. We are aware that there are no jobs at the end of your studies, so we have to create them ourselfs.
