The Alliance fran?aise de Ballarat offers three levels of language classes from complete beginners to intermediate, across four terms of six weeks each.
The Alliance fran?aise de Ballarat offers three levels of language classes from complete beginners to intermediate, across four terms of six weeks each.
Classes are conducted by experienced tutors on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings at the Eastwood Leisure Complex, 20 Eastwood Street, Ballarat. Any level may be repeated, with the teacher’s consent, by those wishing to consolidate their knowledge. Classes depend on reaching the minimum class numbers.
All students will be required to purchase a textbook (approx. $20 in 2021) which can be arranged through the Alliance fran?aise de Ballarat.
This course is for complete beginners. Please note that it is a sequential course which means you need to enroll at the start of the year. If you have a slight knowledge of French, it may be possible to join at a later stage, subject to the teacher’s consent.
Beginner Plus
This course is for those who have completed a year at the absolute beginner's stage or who have a slight knowledge of French, but feel they need a refreshment of the language before they can progress.
Intermediate
This course is for those continuing to expand their knowledge of French. You need to have some knowledge of the basics of the language and be able to conduct a simple conversation with the support of the tutor.

This French intermediate course is delivered in 8 terms covering a whole new textbook. This is not an intensive course but it will require some study and doing weekly homework.
