The French minor will give students functional levels of competency in French and excellent communicative and intercultural skills. It will enrich students with a knowledge of history, contemporary society, enable them to engage in real-world issues, and open up new ways of interacting in the world.
Completion of this minor gives students the equivalent of Level A2/B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL), the internationally recognised standard of language competence in European languages. This minor is for beginners and is incompatible with a pass in ATAR French.
For students taking a minor which shares units with their other unit sets (majors or minors): in order for minors to be recognised on academic and graduation documents, students may only have a maximum of one unit overlapping between their unit sets.
