We cater for all levels of knowledge of the French language.
Our courses are focused on conversational French with active participation in classes limited to 6 to 12 students. They are based on interactive activities to make learning French a fun and successful experience.
Our teaching philosophy is in line with the CEFRL (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), the premier international standard adopted by the best language schools around the world. The Alliance Française centers are the only language schools worldwide accredited by the French government.
Our experienced and qualified teachers remain at your service throughout your learning process. They will speak as much French as possible in the classroom to immerse yourself in the language.
Students have opportunities to practice French outside of the classroom through our social and cultural events and our conversation workshops. The Alliance Française de la Sunshine Coast is offering a total French experience: from learning French to speaking French with many different people during our cultural activities.
Students have access to the Culture ethèque, a French e-library with 24/7 access from your personal computer, tablet, or smartphone, access their favorite magazines as they hit.
Newsstands, view concerts and shows, listen to lectures, introduce children to cultural materials, read e-books and comics, and take advantage of language-learning materials tailored to your needs. Over 400 magazines, 1,000 books, 200 comics, 450 videos and 370 learning materials.

Founded in 2008, the Alliance Française de la Sunshine Coast (AFSC) is a registered not-for-profit association dedicated to the promotion of the French language and culture.
The AFSC encourages and promotes active, open connections between people on the Sunshine Coast and French language and culture.
It provides the means by which people can learn the French language and become engaged in the many different aspects of French culture including art, books, poetry, film, history, gastronomy, contemporary affairs, thoughts and ideas.
